THE APARTMENTS – Georgia Tech Football’s Oct. 1 game at Pitt will begin at 8 p.m. and will be nationally televised on the ACC Network, the Atlantic Coast Conference and ESPN announced Saturday night.
Next Saturday’s game at No. 24 Pitt will mark the third time in Georgia Tech’s first five games this season that he has faced a nationally ranked opponent. It will also mark Tech’s first visit to Pittsburgh since 2018, when the Yellow Jackets and Panthers have played each other in Atlanta each of the past three seasons (the teams’ 2020 game, which was to be played in Pittsburgh, has been moved to Atlanta when the ACC schedule was adjusted due to the Covid-19 pandemic).
The last time Georgia Tech faced a nationally ranked opponent in the ACC network’s primetime game, the Yellow Jackets routed North Carolina No. 21/20, 45-22, the September 25 of last season at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
